What deodorant is best for you?
Category:Wellness
Finding the right Deodorant to use can be tedious! It can be a Herculean task and many can attest to this. The trial and error process can waste finances on products that they aren’t compatible with or might not be fit for use.
For deodorants like it is for any other products consumed on the market scale, especially those with a plethora of alternatives, it’s a right conferred upon a consumer to have the power to choose which products are the best fit for their personal use. But that choice ought to be carefully considered and to ably and rightly exercise that kind of power, one has to have the right information about the products they intend to buy to ensure that they are exactly what they need, addressing all concerns of safety, cost or any other pertinent considerations that may arise. So a recommendation from a seller who knows the product goes a long way in ensuring the right choice is made.
Let’s look at the different deodorant types:
- Spray deodorant: This is an aerosol formula. These are great for those who would want to avoid stains on their clothes. It’s perfect for a quick refresh after working out. It should be left to dry on the skin before dressing. Shake the can, remove the cap, and spray from about 10 inches.
- Roll-On Deodorant: These are smooth liquids in portable containers that glide on the skin; they dry fast and also eliminate residues that stain clothes.
- Gel Deodorant: This is a viscous gel formula; these are long-lasting and deliver a clear thick gel. The pack may look like that of the roll-on deodorant and application also requires that one waits for the formula to dry before dressing to prevent stains. Most have a twistable dial at the base that releases a stick gel formulation whose end is applied to the skin.
- Solid Deodorant: Like a bar of soap, this is opaque and applied with an up-and-down movement on the skin. Most of these leave a white residue.
- Invisible Solid Deodorant: These are like solid deodorants but go on to clear instead of leaving white residue as the solid deodorant even when they may appear in the same form as the solid deodorant.
- Antiperspirant Deodorant: Unlike the deodorant only products that work only to eliminate body odour. These also prevent you from sweating so are helpful for both smell and wetness.
Some important considerations emerge with deodorants, the masking of smell or reducing wetness, and the choice depends on compatibility with lifestyle. A day at a strenuous workshop may need an antiperspirant to maintain the aesthetic look of clothes. Those involved in lighter activities may only need deodorant formulations that don’t limit sweating.
