Management of fatigue

Whether you’ve suffered a restless night’s sleep or are constantly on the go, tiredness can sometimes hit you like a brick wall. But, instead of suffering from in-a-constant-daze syndrome there are measures you can take that may naturally bolster up the energy levels. Tweaking your diet and adding in vitamin-rich foods and supplements can help keep the tired symptoms at bay.
Try to eat regularly to maintain your energy levels throughout the day. Eat a healthy diet – increase the amount of fruit, vegetables, wholegrain foods, low fat dairy products and lean meats in your diet. Reduce the amount of high fat, high sugar and high salt foods. Don’t overeat – large meals can drain your energy. The vitamin B complex is made up of eight hardworking vitamins that support the body in healthy functioning of the cells and brain, whilst also helping to convert the food we eat, into energy. Deficiency in any of the eight B vitamins can bring about symptoms of tiredness and fatigue. But do not panic! There are plenty of foods rich in one or multiple B vitamins, including: Eggs, Leafy greens, Milk, Salmon, and Grains among others.
We all know that exercise is good for us. However, sometimes it feels like there are so many obstacles to exercising, whether that’s a lack of time, being busy with kids, not having access to equipment or space, or even having an injury. The thing is, our health should not be our last priority, and exercising doesn’t just impact our physical health.
When you’re mentally exhausted, even fun things sound like work. This can make it even more challenging to manage stressors. However, it takes effort and awareness to change the patterns that lead to feeling mentally tired. The terrific news is that you don’t have to tackle it all at once to start feeling better. Not everything needs to be done perfectly, eliminate the stressor. Improving your work-life balance enhances your resilience, creativity and mood. Trying new things can give you a boost of energy, especially if it’s something you’ve always wanted to do
